The full JUSTICE LEAGUE panel at San Diego Comic Con 2017 is here! You can watch it here, and I’ve written a summary of what was said by the cast, which you’ll find below the video.

The Justice League panel was part of the Warner Bros. Presentation at San Diego Comic Con 2017, it was moderated by Chris Hardwicke and it featured Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Ezra Miller (Barry Allen/The Flash), Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Ray Fisher (Victor Stone/Cyborg) and Jason Momoa (Arthur Curry/Aquaman). The first question was for Ben Affleck, about the recent rumors that he might be leaving Batman soon. Although he didn’t exactly address it, he said that playing that character was a dream come true, and after two movies it is still hard to believe he gets to do it. He also said that getting together with the League was an amazing moment, and Ezra added that he kept trying to touch everyone because the costumes looked so real.

Gal Gadot was (rightfully) praised for the success of Wonder Woman, and she thanked the audience for making it the hit that it was, stating that Diana is a beautiful character to play because she stands for everything that is good.

The first question for Ezra was about the DC Universe and what makes it so special, to which he replied “Well, as we know, DC Universe is the first comic universe. And this league that we are in is the first. Unless you count the only one that came before us, The Justice Society of America, which is, of course, us as well. Yeah. And so… I mean, I’m thrilled. What more can I say? It’s the greatest, as far as I’m concerned”. Ray Fisher explained that The Flash and Cyborg bonded over getting their powers through experiments and the traumas that resulted from that, and also because they are the youngest members of the League. Gal complained about the “youngest” bit, and Ezra pitched in, saying Wonder Woman is “ancient”, while their characters are basically college kids.

Momoa stated that Aquaman is a “big onion” of emotions and “we are slowly peeling it away” – as a way of explaining why he didn’t seem too thrilled to be joining the League at first glance. After a sneak peek of the movie was shown, he went bananas and basically lifted Ezra on stage. Gal said “This is how we roll. This is basically what happened after every take”.

The first question from the audience came from a girl dressed as Wonder Woman, who started by congratulating Gal on the huge success of her film, then asked what the cast was doing when they learned they had been chosen for their roles. Gal said she was sitting in an airplane that had just landed, and proceeded to scream. Jason was on Zack Snyder’s office, Ezra was eating “a delicious fish” in a small town in Costa Rica, and after hearing the news he had a “full conniption”. Ray yelled a bunch of PG-18 words at Zack Snyder through the phone, and Ben was also in Snyder’s office, where he was shown a concept art for “Batman v. Superman”, and said “I’m in!”.

The second question was, funnily enough, asked by a fan dressed as Superman, and he wanted to know who was the funniest cast member and if they could share a prank story from the set. Ray answered that they were all funny in their own ways, and Ezra added that they have to keep the prank stories for themselves. Hardwicke then asked Ezra what it felt like to be “the new guy”, which he found confusing (Uh… same?), but replied saying “Hopefully you just love yourself, and then slowly people learn to appreciate or tolerate you at some form or another”.

Another fan asked if they were “secretly filming” a sequel, to which Ray replied that they can’t really answer – they’re not, though, as it’s been reported on many trustworthy websites that they’re all very busy with reshoots. The next question was also for the entire cast, and the fan wanted to know which character from the “Suicide Squad” they would like to share a scene with. Jason answered Jai Courtney, while Gal chose Margot Robbie, Ezra chose Will Smith and Ray said that he’d probably go for Killer Croc or Enchantress (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Cara Delevingne).

A little boy came up and asked the cast where Superman was gonna be in Justice League, to which Jason replied “Son, I’m not sure if your parents showed you the last movie, but Superman is dead”. A little girl followed him, also dressed as Wonder Woman, and asked the cast what scene was the most memorable for them. Gal said that filming a fight sequence when they were all in character felt very surreal, and Ray said that getting to see all of Batman’s gadgets was super memorable, and also that he loved the first time they were all standing together in a scene. For Jason, it was “surfing the Batmobile”, in the scene we can see briefly in the trailer, and Ben also replied that he loved it when they were all together. The last question was for Jason, and the fan wanted to know about an Aquaman scene in the trailer and who exactly was in it, which he ended up confirming it was Ocean Master’s Army.

The panel ended with a cute selfie of Hardwicke and the cast, and he mentioned that he had taken a similar pic with Ben, Gal and Henry Cavill when they promoted “Batman v. Superman” on Comic Con 3 years ago, which made it even better.
